Over the last few years I have come to realise what happiness means to me... The simple pleasures I get from printmaking, cooking, knitting, spending time with my family and friends and recently, our allotment; these are the ways I choose to spend my time.
I've been a member of Green Door Open Access Printmaking Studio (and I really need to return!); I also enjoy reading or knitting whilst my husband (aka Global Sounds) provides a sublime / funky / cool soundtrack often enjoyed in front of a roaring fire. I have also joined a Reading Group at my local library. I get to read books that I might not necessarily choose to read myself and then I have the pleasure of talking about books with like minded people. The only thing missing at these meetings is a cup of coffee!
I'm not the world's greatest knitter but the calm that it brings is invaluable when I'm getting stressed out about one thing or another - and I invariably do. I'm actually starting to tackle more complicated projects and succeeding too... it just goes to show that practise makes perfect - well almost!

Cooking is another pleasure. It's another good way to chill and nothing beats watching your family scoff down something you've just made and asking for more, or cooking for friends over a bottle or two... Although our fussy eater and our bossy little monster make this particular task harder than I ever remember. When they give me the thumbs up, I know it's all worthwhile though.
I would really appreciate your feedback - good, bad but preferably constructive! Tell me what works and what doesn't. I want to entertain and inspire! Pictures are being posted all the time, so please keep looking!
